Man Cave Makeover

I was contacted by a community manager from Man Crates which is a new company that ships awesome gifts for men in custom wooden crates.  Now these aren't your typical wooden crates.....these are crates that need to be opened with a crowbar. How fun right?  Their mission is to end the difficulty in buying gifts for men.  They are running a campaign on "Man Cave Makeovers" and asked if I would put together some thoughts on what my man's "cave" would look like.

Every great man cave starts with a great leather couch and a comfy chair. A man needs a comfy place to watch his favorite team, movies and tv shows.  A casual and cool place for friends to gather. Followed by a great couch, is a great TV and console.   

I love warm woods and imagine that most items in this cave would have warmth to them.  Maps are a great way to add warmth and character to your walls.  I've selected two vintage maps; one for Italy and one for Paris.  It's a small romantic touch to a strong man's room.  Follow up the warmth of the room with a faux fur pillows, throws and a bean bag chair.  Every man wants to cuddle up. Faux fur is a great way to encourage the cuddle.  

I pulled in a strong wood coffee table followed by an old bar cart with wood and iron.  The lighting is masculine and a bit whimsical with iron cut outs that hang on the walls.  And a man cave just wouldn't be one.....without a great set of antlers.
