Perfectly Healthy Pancakes

With summer over, many of us are thankful for the routine of the school year to help us get our workout's back on track.  Maybe it's time for you to create a new workout plan or just plain begin one.  Whatever your routine may be, cutting out white flour and sugar should be on the top of your list.  If you haven't made the switch yet to get off of unprocessed foods, now is a good time to start.  Even if you say you can't give them up, try eating less of them and see if you start to feel better.  I bet you will notice a big difference after just one week!
My sister-in-law Julie knows that I am always on the hunt for healthy new recipes.  She called the other day to tell me about a new recipe for pancakes.  This is super easy (bonus right?) and taste delicious. You may not even notice that the flour and sugar are missing....

Take 2 bananas, 4 eggs, a 1/2 tsp of cinnamon and 1/2 tsp of baking powder.  Blend it up and pour into a greased skillet.  Flip when ready! (they are a little more delicate than a regular pancake so be gentle flipping). You can also half this recipe if it is just you eating.

Use pure maple sugar and you are good to go.  I forgot to take a picture after I poured the syrup but you get the point here :).

Remember, trying to eliminate foods from your diet and trying to eat in a different way can be hard.  You have to make things that keep you going and this is one of those dishes. You'll feel like you just went to ihop! (Well, not exactly.  You won't feel sick afterwards!)

Happy Hump Day.

Paula
